Description: The iconic granddaddy of them all, opened in 1926 during the days of Empire and the Raj. It has been spruced up with an exotic dcor and lighting, and the classic menu of regional dishes enlarged and given an innovative touch since I was first taken there as a small boy over 70 years ago. Grab a seat overlooking the dramatic view of Regent Street if you are lunching there or relax and enjoy the opulent setting in the evening. Private dining rooms available. Strongly recommended.

Description: As you might expect from an award winning restaurant named after the historic Red Fort of Delhi that was the residence of the Mughal emperors,this is London's acclaimed center for Mughal court cooking. Try specialties like 'Scottish lobster with saffron, garlic, cinnamon and nutmeg', Jumbo Prawns marinated with saffron, chilli and garlic', or flame grilled kebabs.
